This ride leaves The Leggers Inn and takes the Spen Greenway before turning off at Oakenshaw to head up to Low Moor.
We will pass the Harold Club and the mill wheel and enjoy the ride through Harold Park before re-joining the Spen Green for the return journey.
At this distance the Met Office weather forecast for 10:00 on Sunday looks quite pleasant with temps of 18°C, white cloud and winds gusting up to 11 mph.
Please check the forecast for yourselves on Sunday morning.

This ride will head up the Spen Greenway and take a turn around Harold Park. The park is another half mile beyond Harold Club and the large mill wheel at Low Moor. It is a pleasant area and is criss-crossed with cycle routes. It does have hills along the way but that is one of the benefits of riding in West Yorkshire.

This ride is along greenways and public roads. We look to utilise quieter roads where possible but there are busy sections and road junctions along the way. All riders must be experienced and confident in those situations.

With the exception of short stops to re-group, or to take in points of interest along the route, there are no scheduled breaks on this ride.

Helmets are mandatory on all Kirklees Riders outings. Please bring a spare inner tube suitable for the tyres on the bike you are riding. I would remind you that this is not a guided ride and that each participant remains responsible for their own actions or omissions at all times.

We never leave anyone behind
