Kirklees Riders - Supporting The Jo Cox Way Ride

Dear Jill, Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I went across to Batley / Dewsbury on Saturday and rode the potential start points with Lynnette Evans. It was very helpful to have her local knowledge. The police and highways dept at the council are recommending a closed road for the start if it takes place from Wilton Park. I am that the start is open to as many riders as possible and the suggestion was made to me to have the start at Princess Mary Stadium, postcode WF15 6LW. This is ideal as it enabled a circuit of the track to be undertaken by disabled riders. The route heads onto the Spen Valley cycle Greenway and works its way to Dewsbury and then heads south, (using the excellent cycle routes 69 and 699). I will map the route for the ride onto the BC site. Could you please change your Ride Social ride so that it starts at the above location. I am sorry for the change and I hope it does not cause you too much trouble.
