Kinver Fayre Ride

This ride is being put on as part of activities at Kinver Fayre to encourage new ladies to cycle in this area. The 8.8-mile route will be undulating but remember, what goes up also comes down. We shall leave the car park at Kinver High School, Enville Road, Kinver, DY7 6AA and head towards Enville take the first turn left then right along white Hill and Rocky Wall, which are gradual climbs. Straight across the crossroads to Kingsford Lane, a delightfully leafy and undulating lane around Kinver Edge that leads on to Drakelow Lane ad Wolverley. At the T-junction above Wolverley village we shall turn left for the gradual climb up Blakeshall Lane, which continues as undulating and with superb views to the Clent Hills. We shall bear right for a short climb up Gipsy Lane followed by a long descent to meet Cookley Lane where we turn left and as we approach Kinver descend carefully down Church Hill to bear left onto High Street and ride through Kinver village back to Edgecille High School. High Street will be closed to traffic during the Kinver Fayre so extreme care will be needed with pedestrians, etc along the road.
