Starting point

WV6 0HA

Starting from the car park at Wildside Activity Centre, Hordern Road, Whitmore Reans , Wolverhampton. A brief free bike safety check for participants will take place before setting off.

We will access the Kingswinford Railway line and take a leisurely cycle through open country side towards Wombourne, passing by the Smestow Valley Nature Reserve and the Old Tettenhall railway station as well as other sites on route. The course route is open in parts and covered by trees in others. The track is firm in most parts and well used by walkers/cyclists/runners. The intention will be to reach the railway cafe in Wombourne where we will take a break for tea/coffee/cold drinks and a picnic (picnic lunches and refreshments not provided so be sure to bring your own) before returning back to the starting point. There will be other options to stop on route if it is felt we will not make the railway cafe.
