Kings Walden Circular

Our meeting place for this ride on Saturday 31st August 2013 is the car park at Active Luton, Wigmore Hall, Wigmore Place, Luton, LU2 9JB (just off Eaton Green Road, behind Luton Airport).BE CAREFUL of the barrier with bikes on a car rack! As soon as we leave the car park we are in the countryside, heading out towards Cockernhoe and the Anglo Saxon village of Kings Walden where we can stop of tea at the village post office tea room.Refreshed we ride through Ley Green and leafy lanes to Breachwood Green before returning home. This is a 10 mile ride and is suitable for all riders. Newcomers are always welcome. We always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. The route is all road so suitable for all types of bicycles. It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack.  Dress appropriately for the weather and please bring a puncture repair kit. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.
