Starting at the car park opposite the boat house car park at Auchinstarry marina Kilsyth we will cycle to Sonas cafe at the foot of the Campsies in Clachan of Campsie for tea and snacks. Once we have had some tea/coffee and snacks at Sonas we will return by the same route to the boat house in Kilsyth. This is a mainly a flat route. The ride will be approx. 20 miles. The average pace for this ride will be 10-11miles per hour.

Beautiful traffic free scenic route from Kilsyth marina to the lovely village of Clachan of Campsie via the Forth and Clyde canal path and the Strathkelvin railway path which are flat.

We will ride a traffic free route via the Forth and Clyde canal path and the Strathkelvin railway path.

We will intend to stop at the cafe Sonas in the picturesque village of Clachan of Campsie for hot drinks and a snack to warm up before we start the journey back. If time allows we can visit the beautiful gardens/ grounds of Schoenstatt before heading back to the marina in Kilsyth. There will be time for photos and snacks. This is a lovely scenic route. Toilets are available at the start at the boat house and at Sonas.

Helmets are mandatory and a bike in roadworthy condition. Road, gravel or hybrid best for this ride. Please bring a drink, appropriate clothing for the weather, puncture repair kit, spare tube & pump, a lock if you have one and money for coffee/snacks.
