Killingworth Centre Car Park

This is a very enjoyable route through the northern regions of North Tyneside taking in the historical links of both coal mining and George Stephensons visionary engineering to manufacture the first steam locomotives. The route is mainly traffic free and makes good use of local cycle paths.

Please note that some of the surfaces used on this route are not suitable for road bikes or hybrid bikes with thin tyres.
