Kenwood House and Waterlow Park

This is another touristy ride and not fast paced although good level of fitness required and road confidence. Thanks to Delani/Kevin for part of the route through Fryent Country Park and Mutton Brook not done before by our group. The rest of the route is newly designed crossing across Hampstead Health on tarmaced surface on our return via Gospel Oak and Kentish Town. We will wait for you if you cannot manage the inclines. This is a one way ride finishing at either Euston for overground trains taking the fast train to Harrow & Wealdstone from their slow overground trains will bring you back to your start point at Headstone Manor station or Hatch End. You can also go to Kings Cross from Euston for met line or go straight to Finchley Road from Hampstead Heath (a very direct route) for met line but there is football match at Wembley at 3.00 p.m. so trains will be crowded.
This route has not been reccy'd before although some bits are familiar and attempted on other rides.
Our ride takes us through some busy roads and cycle paths from Headstone Manor Park.
Coffee stop at Kenwood House or Parliament Hill cafe. Decide on the day.
Please bring snacks, water, bike lock and your oyster card/credit card for the train journey. Ensure your bike is in tip-top working order.
Pump up the tyres, check the brakes and ensure the wheels turn freely. Please enter your name on waiting list if the ride is full as we normally have cancellations.
