Kenton Rec to Pergola

This ride has a variety of riding environments including off-road paths, quiet roads and a few sections with busier traffic. There is a significant climb in the middle of the route.
We head west towards Burnt Oak and Mill Hill East and then travel south to Finchley for a brief stop the former home of Inky Stephens. There will be a photo op with a legend of British Comedy.
Continuing south, we pass through Temple Fortune and Hampstead Garden Suburb before climbing to the Old Bull and Bush. Our second stop is at The Hill Garden and Pergola. Hopefully, the wisteria will be in full bloom. We’ll take refreshments in Golders Hill Park.
Our return leg starts with an off-road trail to West Heath before we cross the Hendon Way into Clitterhouse Park. The route passes through the new Brent Cross Town development and crosses the railway with the assistance to two lifts!
We navigate Staples Corner without mixing with motor vehicles and head to the Welsh Harp reservoir. We then use a combination of paths and quiet roads to complete the ride.

Pump up your tyres and check your brakes. Bring a spare inner tube, tools to fix a puncture and a card or cash for the cafe.
