Regular beginner rides through Kensington and Chelsea for any women thinking about getting into cycling, nervous about where to begin or who wants to meet fellow cyclists in the area.
The routes will vary but will be suitable for novice and intermediate cyclists on quieter roads and cycle paths where possible. If you'd like to try a particular route (for example, to try out a commute) then just let me know and I'll try to accommodate it.
You'll recognise me wearing a bright red Breeze jacket. Any questions just drop me a line!
We meet at 6.30pm at Hyde Park's Black Lion Gate, but routes will vary depending on the weather and the group. The postcode is a very rough guide to how to get there.
Hyde Park is an excellent place to start getting into cycling and a good introduction to different kinds of paths, including shared-used with pedestrians, painted paths on roads and pavements, and some on-road cycling on reasonably quiet and wide roads.
If you decide you want to keep cycling but are worried about road safety, join the
London Cycling Campaign, which campaigns for better cycling infrastructure throughout the city.
There are also freebies available if you introduce friends to Breeze. Read the
