Kendal Cycle Club Saturday Ride (Blue B Group)

This week we will be heading to Grange via Brigsteer, Crosthwaite and the Back-of-the-Fell Road to Lindale Village. Returning to Kendal via Meathop, Levens and Sedgewick.

We meet at the back of the car park towards the cycle path. Please arrive up to 10 mins before the start time but NOT more than 10 mins before. Blue B group rides are 30-40 miles long, averaging 10-13 mph. For more details about the club please see www.kendal.cc.

We welcome riders of any ability and age to join our friendly cycling community. The ride leaves at 9.30am prompt from Kendal Leisure Centre (meet at the back of the car park towards the cycle path). Please arrive at 9.15 so we can welcome new members and organise riders into the groups below (mileage is approximate). Women only groups are available in most groups and we have a really active female membership who are ready to welcome you to the club. Yellow: 10-15 miles: 5-8 mph Green B: 15-25 miles 8-10mph Green A: 20-25 miles 8-10 mph Blue B: 25-35 miles 10-13 mph Blue A: 30-40 miles 13-15 mph Red B: 35-45 miles, 15-16 mph Red A: 40-50 miles, 16-17 mph Black B: 50 miles+, 17-19 mph (over 16 year olds and members only) Black A: 50 miles+, 18-20 mph (over 16 year olds and members only) For more details about the club routes please see www.kendal.cc. This is an undulating ride through lovely countryside with no really steep climbs. We will be riding mainly on quiet country roads.

We will stop to admire views and have a drink along the route. All the rides end at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal where we stop for coffee and cake.

Helmets, drinks bottle and spare inner tubes are advisable. Please bring money if you wish to buy refreshments.
