Starting point

PR7 5EJ

Coppull Community Leisure Centre, Springfield Road

And then we'll have cake! We're doing this as a nice steady ride, fairly slow so that we can see some of the FC's that we haven't seen for a while, so if you can make it - be great to see you. This is a steady ride exploring the Back Lanes (literally - there are two of them on the route) of the Western parishes, some with quaint & quirky names. Along the route we'll ride through the villages of Eccleston, home of Sir Bradley Wiggins, and Mawdesley as we pass through part of the West Lancashire plains. There will be the opportunity to stop for a well earned cup of tea and slice of cake at the Owd Barn Tea Shop before heading back to the start point at Coppull Community Leisure Centre. Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, Helmet & lights checked & ready. Please aim to be ready to ride 15 mins before the ride start time, getting away on time is good for everyone. This will be a lovely ride with something for everyone. We'll ride at a steady pace of 10-12 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together & have a really pleasant ride. We enjoy our cycling & appreciate it even more when we have people to ride with. Our group is called the FC's - Friendly Cyclists & you can read all about us & join the group here: https://www.goskyride.com/SCG/GroupDetails?GroupID=2197 Once you join the group you'll get an automatic invite for every ride, you will never miss a ride again!
