Our ride will start from Salt Ayre leisure centre, riding along the riverside path through Halton and Caton. We can enjoy the traffic free, riverside path until we come to the village of Caton. From here we will take the quiet country lanes enjoying the rural scenery and gentle undulating roads to Quernmore. Quernmore is a quiet hamlet with very few houses, a small primary school and local church. It is very pretty all the same. There will be little traffic along these roads, taking us to Jo's cafe. Our very own Jo Raynor has offered to make us all a brew at her weekend rural retreat. After enjoying a short break we continue on our way before heading back home.
