This will be the 200th Breeze ride on which I have led or assisted and, when I first started, we used to take our bikes by car to Cheapside, in order to ride across Windsor Great Park. Now we can get all the way by bike and you can start this ride from Wokingham (with Anne at 9.30) or Crowthorne (with me at 9.20) - or you can head straight to South Hill Park and we'll all meet there for a 10am start. It is a 28 mile return route from South Hill Park + another 8 miles or so from Wokingham/Crowthorne BUT we will have 2 stops - for coffee and then for a pub lunch on the way back and also a short visit to see the Air Forces Memorial, which has amazing views. (It is optional whether you want to climb up the steps to the top or not!)

From South Hill Park, we will use Bracknell cycle paths to Lily Hill Park, then on roads (and one bumpy track) over to Ascot, stopping for coffee nearby. We will then cycle round Ascot racecourse, before heading over to the beautiful setting of Windsor Great Park. After a loop of some of the park (and a toilet stop at Savill Garden if needed) we will ride to see the Air Forces War Memorial (just an extra 3 miles there and back and it is not uphill!) We will then ride back and exit the park at Blacknest Gate with a short hill up to our lunch stop at Cheapside, where the pub has a good sandwich menu (or chips, etc. are also available.) After lunch, it is then only 7.5 miles back to South Hill Park, mainly on cycle paths.

I have labelled this as a steady ride (although it is 28 or possibly 36 miles) because we will have 2 or 3 stops and we won't go too fast or leave anyone behind .

Cycle helmets are compulsory. Please bring with you a spare inner tube and anything you may need for repairs en route. Also please bring: cash or card for payment at the coffee and lunch stops, bottle of water and bike lock if you have one.

We never leave anyone behind
