Jaynes Tour of Tarleton, Rufford, Burscough & Scarisbrick

A mostly flat, very scenic ride on quiet country roads taking in some some lovely West Lancashire towns and villages and canal side cycling.

A lovely ride on a route planned and plotted by Jayne on familiar territory near to where she lives. Some lovely countryside on usually quiet, flat roads with some great views and some excellent photo opportunities.

Mostly hard surfaced main roads and generally flat.

There will be a refreshment stop at either Tastebuds or Twin Lakes for coffee and cake so remember to bring along some money for a coffee and some of their lovely home-made cakes (or a full English breakfast if you prefer!). A decision will be made on the day where to stop dependent on numbers and weather conditions.

All riders will be required to wear a helmet and carry spare inner tubes and the means to be able to repair a puncture (assistance will be provided if required).Please also do wrap up warm and wear plenty of layers and don't forget your gloves; it could be cold (I hope not!)

We are a friendly bunch and it is essential that everybody enjoys the ride so it will be at a steady pace (average 9-11mph) but will be determined by the overall pace of the group. Plenty of stops for a breather and hopefully an opportunity to take lots of photos! Always remember, we will never leave anyone behind!
