Jaunt from Durham to Croxdale

Starting at the Rowing Club we will climb up through Notth End to join the Bishop Auckland Railway Path and then heading across on quiet roads to Sunderland Bridge. The route then climbs up the bank past Croxdale house and through the estate to meet the A181 at Bowburn. We will then follow the road into Durham and stop for a well earned coffee and slice of something at Maiden Castle before going back along the riverside to the centre of Durham.  This is a lovely scenic route, which will be taken at a leisurely pace. Come and join us and enjoy the beautiful countryside south of Durham.
