Izaak Walton Route

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour. This is a gentle ride through quite roads and lanes passing through some lovely Villages of Staffordshire. You will pass the  an Airfield where gliders fly from and the picturesque cottage of Izaak Walton the famous Stafford born author.There is a cafe stop about half way for refreshments. As you enter Sainsburys car park off Doxey road when you go through the barrier and come to the first roundabout turn left and the meeting point will be 50 metres from the roundabout in the car park.
