Ivinghoe Circular

This ride is a pretty 15 miles circular route from Ivinghoe to the pretty villages of Aldbury, Tring, Wilstone and Cheddington and is suitable for all types of bicycle on quiet country roads.

This ride is relatively flat with only a hill at the start so is suitable for ladies who want to increase their distance without the ups and downs. No one is left behind and we ride at the pace of the slowest rider.

Our ride will take us past Ivinghoe windmill and up over the hill to Aldbury where you can still find stocks and a whipping post on the green, with a pond and ducks nearby.  From here we head towards Tring and past the Marsworth Reservoirs before stopping at the Farm Shop for tea.  Bring a pannier if you want to stock up on home produce!

Once refreshed we make our way to Cheddington and Pitstone before arriving back at the start for further refreshments  and a welcoming log fire at the Rose & Crown pub in Ivinghoe.

Other riders from Ivinghoe Velos (a sociable cycling group) may join us along the way.

Please ensure your bicycle is in good working order, particularly the gears, as this will help you on any hills. It's a good idea to bring a puncture repair kit and pump, a bottle of water and some small snacks and change if you wish to have
tea. Wearing a helmet is always advisable, but not mandatory. Dress for the weather!
