Ironbridge Loop

Starting in the carpark at Dawley Pools, we will pick up a track down into Coalbrookdale, followed by a short downhill section into Ironbridge. Crossing the bridge, we pick up a trail again which will take us to Jackfield where we can stop for a drink. Back across the river into Coalport and then up the Silkin Way back to Dawley.

We won’t be going super fast, and we definitely don’t leave anyone behind. It’s worth noting that the second half of the ride is a gradual incline. E bikes welcome as long as you stay with the group and behind the leader (unless the leader is having a bad day on the uphill!).

A mostly off road tour of Ironbridge Gorge.

There is a short section of about a mile on a road as we head into Ironbridge from Coalbrookdale.

We will stop at Maws Craft centre for a coffee and there are ample opportunities for photo stops along the way.

Helmets are strongly encouraged for everyone. We will be riding on roads and on uneven surfaces in places. Ring water for the ride and money for the cafe stop and a lock for your bike. Sunscreen for if we get any sunshine. Whilst help can be given if needed, please bring everything you need to change an inner tube on your bike in the event of a puncture.
