Hartford Train Station Chester Road Hartford Cheshire

This will be a challenging route where you will need to be able to get up and down your gears. Your brakes will need to be working too! Having said that, the pace will be relaxed and the emphasis will be on fun. Yes, I said fun!! The views will be amazing over to Peckforton, Beeston and the Welsh Hills on one side, and the Old Pale, Jodrell Bank and the Cheshire Plain on the other. Most of all, it will be a giggle. We will stop for a coffee and cake at Abbeywood. You will find it so much easier to do this route with the moral support of a group, and you will learn techniques that will make hills easier to do in the future. A reasonable level of fitness is required for this ride, and a bike in excellent working order. Some of the roads are narrow, and the few cars that come this way can be fast and a nuisance. Farm vehicles are also a regular hazard. You will need to be a regular cyclist to get the most out of this ride, but it will be tailored to suit the riders that turn up. I am expecting this ride to be a popular one, and if there is the demand for it, I can lead this ride once per month for all you 'gluttons for punishment'! :-)
