Meet 10am Rainford Road off Rainford Bypass at the Windle Junction.
414m elevation 55km (1358ft/34 miles)
Avg pace 18 km/hr - 20km/hr (11 mph/12.5km/hr)
Roughly 4hrs 30mins not including cafe stop.

Ride out to Rufford Marina
Although mostly flat this ride has 3 short climbs, Crank Road, Tower Hill and The Common, Parbold. It also has 1 downhill at Bank Brow/Roby Mill.

Starts with a short climb up Crank, pass Red Cat Pub, along Pimbo Rd & up Tower Hill.
Through UpHolland & down Roby Mill & Bank Brow.
Along Lees Lane, down Dalton, through Parbold cycling up The Common.
Up past Bispham Green, along Rufford Rd to the Marina for cafe stop.
Return back along Rufford Rd, heading towards Lathom, skirting Ormskirk, to Bickerstaffe & back to the start along the cycle path on the Rainford Bypass .




Notes

We meet at 10am on Rainford Road, where there is parking available. This is opposite Crank Road & off the Rainford Bypass

This is all road cycling

We stop at Rufford Marina Cafe

All riders must wear a helmet. Front & rear lights, wear layers, have a waterproof, have inner tube(s), tubeless plugs, bike pump/electric pump, ICE band or in their phone. Water & small snacks. Prefer all riders to have the route downloaded & be familiar with it.

We are a small & friendly ladies only cycle club, if you're joining us for the first time please do check that the route & pace is within your capabilities. We do have a no drop policy, our strap line being, "start together, finish together, take care of each other" however it is also your responsibility to make sure that you are fit enough to ride the route.
