In Search of The Easter Bunny

A route that takes us out from Southport along part of the cycle path on Marine Parade towards Crossens, Banks and on to Tarleton and Bretherton on quieter country roads. We will take our refreshment break in the Croston area before heading back through Rufford, Tarlscough, Scarisbrick and Churchtown and back to our starting point in Southport.

A mostly flat, very scenic ride on quiet country roads taking in some lovely West Lancashire towns and villages and some canal side cycling. We will be in search of the Easter Bunny, so feel free to dress, and bling up your bike, accordingly!

A lovely ride on a route originally planned and plotted by Jayne on familiar territory near to where she lives. Some lovely countryside on usually quiet, flat roads with some great views and some excellent photo opportunities. Mostly hard surfaced main roads and generally flat.

There will be a refreshment stop at either Tastebuds or Twin Lakes for coffee and cake (or hot cross buns!) so remember to bring along some money for your refreshments. A decision will be made on the day where to stop dependent on numbers and weather conditions.

All riders will be required to wear a helmet and carry spare inner tubes and the means to be able to repair a puncture (assistance will be provided if required).Please also do wrap up warm and wear plenty of layers and don't forget your gloves; it could be cold (I hope not!)

We are a friendly, social bunch and it is essential that everybody enjoys the ride so it will be at a steady pace (average 9-11mph) but will be determined by the overall pace of the group. Plenty of stops for a breather and hopefully an opportunity to take lots of photos; it wouldn't be a CYCLE: St Helens group ride without plenty of photos! Always remember, we will never leave anyone behind!
