ICU Breeze to Ashridge

We will meet by the entrance to Berkhamsted Castle, just behind Berkhamsted station with 5 trains an hour from Watford junction (8.43 arrives at 8.55; 8.55 arrives at 9.10) We will cycle to Northchurch on quiet roads & towpath then up the hill to the Bridgewater Monument at Ashridge for refreshments at the Brownlow café. We have the option of riding out towards Ivinghoe on the Chiltern Cycleway & past Dockey Wood or taking a 3 mile short cut to Great Gaddesdon, turning onto the Ashridge estate for a ride past the management college and out towards Berkhamsted War memorial. We continue downhill to Berkhamsted Castle with the option of riding the circuit of the forthcoming Tarmac Tour of Hertfordshire Series 'Castle Revolutions'.
