G40 1AT

Free Wheel North, Glasgow Green Cycling Centre, Templeton Street, Glasgow, G40 1AT

Starting from the heart of Glasgow at Free Wheel North on Glasgow Green to the beauty of Loch Lomondside, this almost entirely traffic-free route follows parts of the disused Partick to Yoker railway from Glasgow to Clydebank, the towpath of the Forth and Clyde Canal through to Balloch where we will stop for lunch before retracing our route steps and returning to Glasgow. There will be an opportunity for those that wish to return from Balloch or Dumbarton via train, this will reduce the length of the ride to approximately 30 miles. We recommend you wear a helmet and please bring a waterproof, some money, a drink, some snacks and sun cream (just in case;-)). If you would like to borrow a bike please let us know in advance by emailing [email protected]
