Hurst Wood

Starting at Leverhulme Park we cross the bridges to get to the Roe Green Line and cycle down to Monton. From Monton we pick up the cycle path and proceed the through Swinton Greenway Park. After passing through Victoria Park, we make our way towards Drinkwater Park crossing the river Irwell. We then cross the M60 and onto the Outwood trail which takes us Hurst Wood where we cycle a figure of eight around the park. The café stop is next just off the Outwood trail and then we cycle back via Radcliff and the Bolton Bury Cycle path. The route may well be quite muddy in sections and whilst most of it is along cycle paths there are some unavoidable sections on busy roads. Please bring a helmet, spare inner tube and money for the café stop.

Mostly Cycle paths but some sections are on main roads, Some of the paths can be quite muddy so off road (not slick) tyres are needed.
