Hurst Green to Clitheroe Ride with Kettle Crisps

This is a road ride but any type of bike can be used. Be aware, although in the Trough of Bowland, this is a hilly ride with 1600 ft of climbing. Average speed will be about 10mph and will be stopping for photos.
Parking is on road and limited so if you can car share, please do. The numbers will be kept low due to parking.

From the start we head out towards Ribchester via Seeds Green, then on to Old Langho, Billington and Whalley where we’ll stop to have a quick look at the Abbey.
From there we carry on through some pretty villages such as Wiswell and Pendleton before arriving in Clitheroe where we stop at the Brewery (where else) for the main break. If you’ve never been before, it’s well worth a look around but please note, we will be leaving 45 minutes after arriving, at the latest.
From Clitheroe we head towards Waddington via West Bradford, then on to Great Mitton and back to Hurst Green.
Also in Hurst Green is Stonyhurst College which is worth a look either before or after the ride.

There are public toilets and a small village shop that does hot drinks.

This is a lovely ride that takes us through the Trough of Bowland

Mainly quiet lanes but does have a few B roads

The main stop will be at the Brewery. Will also stop when required

Helmets and inner tubes to suit the bike you're using
