If you're fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour. For those of you who enjoy cycling, be it urban or rural, this is a route for You. As you leave Cottingham the real 'buzz' of the the large electric power station can be experienced. There is even a section along a firm track providing an opportunity to see a wildlife area. Several parts of the route are along quiet country lanes. This combination offers the opportunity to view & enjoy the local countryside, your area, with a fresh outlook. Beverley Minster can be seen early on and can be visited as the route passes by. The variation of cycling environments on this route help you understand cycling is a genuine pleasure.
