St. GEORGES SQUARE, HUDDERSFIELD, near benches close to Bus Shelter and statue of Harold Wilson
This is an easy to steady paced ride from St Georges Square in Huddersfield to Bradford City centre. We will start by leaving St Georges Square to join the Bradley/Birkby Greenway. At the end of the Greenway we will cross over Leeds Rd, to join "Route 66". This is an ideal route which is totally traffic free, (apart from other cyclists and walkers). The first part of the route takes us through Mirfield, there's a short 10mins ride on main road through Mirfield, before rejoining Route 66. Once rejoining 66 we will head to Cleckheaton, where we can stop for a coffee stop and a break. We will then carry on our ride to and through West Bowling Park and on into Bradford. Once we reach Bradford we will park up & have lunch. We normally have between 30 To 45 mins for lunch and leg stretch if you want to have a walk around. Once ready to set off back to Huddersfield, we will return via the same route.
This ride is Family Freindly and suitable for all. I do have some rules and they are that anyone under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by a Parent or an Appropriate Adult and MUST also wear a HELMET.
We are a Freindly Group, who enjoy riding together. So if your new to this ride, we look forward to meeting/getting to know you. And that you'll enjoy your day.
