Huddersfeild Railway Station ( near Harold Wilson Statue )

An Easy to Steady paced ride, about 12mph suitable for ages 11+,( if use to riding long distance and accompanied by parents ) so Families Welcome and all abilities ( under 18 must wear a helmet ). Starting from Huddersfeild Railway Station & finishing in Walsden, ( the last post on the Yorks & Lancs border. ). We will cycle along the Huddersfeild to Bradley Greenway, before joining the road to Brighouse. We will join the canal path & ride to Sowerby Bridge along a smooth flat path. At Halifax Junction we can take a short break before heading to Sowerby Bridge. We'll join the Rochdale Canal which is a mixture of smooth & uneven path ( can get muddy depending on weather ), we will pass through Mytholmroyd,Hebden Bridge,Todmorden and then finishing by THE CROSS KEYS pub in Walsden.. Where we can have a well earned rest!! **Due to length of the ride a packed lunch would be a good idea, and plenty of opportunities en route to have a breather and drink if needed** For further details please feel free to contact me by my e-mail which is [email protected].... or by text : 07535299881 The ride is only challenging due to the distance,& sometimes uneven, bumpy & sometimes muddy surface. If too muddy we will do some road riding. We will return to Huddersfield by the same route & arrive back between 4pm & 4.30pm. If you wish, you can join the ride in either Brighouse (Sainsburys cash points), Halifax Junction (on canal) or Sewerby Bridge Car Park ( behind the small outdoor market ).Please try & book your place so that I know how many will be cycling, Thanks.
