A steady ride to the lovely cafe at the Hortus Loci Plant centre (at Hound Green) - which will take us across Bramshill Forest tracks and down Plough Lane but NOT back up again! We will go via Mattingley and along some pretty country lanes to Hound Green and after a coffee break, we will return on some different lanes, carefully crossing over the Basingstoke Road and skirting the Stratfield Saye estate, before riding back through Riseley, Swallowfield and Arborfield cycle ways to California Country Park.
Mainly riding on roads and country lanes, with one off-road section on dry tracks through the forest. Suitable for any type of bike, as long as it is roadworthy. Please check your tyre pressures, brakes and chain before coming out.
Cycle helmets are compulsory and please bring with you: a bottle of water, money or card for payment at the cafe, a spare inner tube for your tyre size and a pump and bike lock if you have them.
