DE4 2EQ

The Whitworth Centre Station Road Darley Dale Matlock Derbyshire

This ride is part of the monthly series for women confident cycling on roads and comfortable with completing 20 miles in the saddle and who "enjoy" climbing hills.

This month we are going to tackle Alison's "Hilly Attack" ride, which was designed to improve ability to cycle up hills and develop the technique of using momentum to take "the sting" out of any hill.
So whether you usually drop into your easiest gear and take your time up a hill (like me!), or use a big gear and grind up the gradient, come along and learn Alison's secret  to help take the edge off a short sharp steep climb or set you up for a long ascent. (Of course what goes up must come down and the final descent is along Salters Lane) so please ensure as always your brakes are in good working order…!
We will set off from The Whitworth Centre in Darley Dale towards the nine ladies on Stanton Moor - Birchover - Bonsall - Matlock and back to the start along the gated road.   http://www.strava.com/activities/61867881   Our cafe stop will be at the end of the ride in the Whitworth Terraced Cafe. Please have spare inner tube, cycling helmet advisable, waterproof and water bottle with you. Any questions please see Breeze Network Derbyshire on Facebook.
