DA2 7RB

Hawley Garden Centre DA2 7RB

A hilly 60 miles. Cycling though some lovely Kent countryside, going via Knatts Valley to Wrotham then on to Offham. The Cafe is just outside Offham with plenty of space to leave the bikes. Continuing on towards Maidstone cycling along some main roads that have cycle lanes, at the British Legion Village we head to Rochester using quieter roads. After the climb out of Rochester it is mostly downhill along a cycle path taking us past the cyclopark at Gravesend. This is a hilly route but nothing that should be too daunting & there is no harm in getting off to walk, we stay as a group. It is a long ride so we can stop at other places for comfort breaks but I hope to press on as fast as we are able given the time of year. We do past some rail stations, so there's an opportunity of catching a train some of the way back. Please remember to bring, at least one spare inner tube, lights, water & snacks to eat on the way, money for refreshments. Dress in layers with a water proof coat. We will be out most of the day & as a group we go at the pace of the slowest rider, if you need to get back sooner be prepared to leave the group & cycle back unaided.
