The meeting point for ride will be the Boleside car park by the River Tweed. From Boleside, we will head east through the green to Winston Road, where we will over to access the cycle path running alongside the railway. To ensure safe access to the cycle path, we will need to cross Winston Road twice. Once on the cycle path, we will ride a short distance to an access path leading to the Borders Abbey Way, heading east towards Lowood Bridge. Along the route, there are a couple of short, steep climbs, which are manageable on foot. Upon reaching Lowood Bridge, we will remain together as a group and cross the road only when advised by the leader that it is safe to do so. We will then continue along the Borders Abbey Way to Melrose. In Melrose, there will be a brief ride along St Mary's Road and the B6361 to Simply Delicious, where we can pause for coffee or ice creams. Afterward, we will retrace our route back to Boleside car park.
