Starting from - The starting point is as the Hicks Lodge Carpark, by the Cafe. You will have to pay for the carpark, this will depend on the amount of time we spend there.

Helmets are essential, no helmet no ride.
Any under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Money for a drink at the cafe.
A suitable bike, a spare inner tube and tyre levers.

We have had a lot of rain, so it may be quite muddy, would suggest you wear clothes that you don't mind getting muddy. As previously mentioned this is not suitable for Road bikes, you need wider tyres. We will alter the trail we follow depending on how busy and how muddy it is. LE65 2UP

Hicks Lodge is part of the National Forest, we will be doing the family friendly Blue trail route, it is all off road. This is not suitable for a road bike, would suggest mountain bike or gravel bike with wider tyres.

These are Forest Trails and gravel paths

We always stop for Haribo at some point and tend to finish with coffee and cake

Helmets are essential All under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult We go as fast as the slowest rider so never drop anyone Water, money for coffee / tea & Carparking A suitable bike: - hybrid with appropriate tyres, mountain and gravel bikes, this ride is NOT suitable for road bikes A spare inner tube Clothing appropriate for the weather conditions, if it has been raining it may be well be muddy, so spare shoes may be appropriate
