Ride to Heybridge Basin and Blackwater Estuary When Saturday, 18 Apr 2015 Where Liverpool Street Station, Liverpool Street, London EC2M 7QH, United Kingdom (map) Description Meet at Le Delice 8.00 to ride to Liverpool St or meet at Liverpool St at 9.10 to pick up the train to Wickford (38 minute train ride) then a circular ride around mostly quiet lanes down to the Blackwater Estuary and picturesque Heybridge Basin, where we'll lunch. There's a choice of venues (two pubs and a cafe). Not as hilly as our Kent rides, but still a bit of climbing, as we head from sea level to descend Essex's highest hill during the ride. About 55 miles. Moderate to hard ride on mostly quiet lanes with a couple of busier short stretches on B roads but nothing too bad.
