Heritage Ride

A steady ride along the Fallowfield Loop and Ashton Canal to Portland Basin and the museum there. The route is flat apart from the locks and bridges and is suitable for all bike types as the surfaces are good. The route is almost entirely off road. Please ensure that your bike is in good working order and that you have the equipment to repair a puncture, or are carrying a spare tube. Dress for the weather forecast and bring water to carry on the ride. Bring a lock for the cafe stop and obviously money if you want to buy something there. We can't make you wear a helmet, but we strongly recommend that you do. If the weather forecast is very bad the ride may be cancelled - pleas check emails for event cancellation notification the day before the ride.
