Hemel Hempstead Mellow Yellows

Meeting just outside Woodys Cafe, this novice ride series will start along the canal and quiet country lanes to build confidence and fitness before incorporating some gentle hills. All routes will have a fab coffee/cake stop for a good old breeze gossip before returning home. Come and join this friendly but dedicated group of ladies for a sociable fun Friday morning ride. We will move the start point each week to enable us to try new routes and new cafe stops. Mellow Yellows will be a beginners ride (10 -15 miles) with coffee stop halfway or at Woodys cafe at the end of the ride for anyone that fancies it. Graceful Greens rides will average between 15 -20 miles at a gentle pace of 7-9mph. Blazing Blues rides will average between 20-25 miles at steady pace between 8-10mph Pacey Purples evening rides will average 12-15 miles at a faster pace of 10-12mph Roaring Reds will average between 25-35 miles at a faster pace around 12-15mph We ride at the pace of the slowest rider and always wait at the top of hills so no one gets left behind. We usually stop for coffee halfway or at the end depending on the route, so come and join us for a monthly get together. Please remember to check your bike is in good working order, gears and brakes all working, and tyres pumped up. Don't forget to bring a spare inner tube and tools to fix a puncture should you be unlucky enough to get one. Don't worry there's enough of us to help you out should you be the unfortunate one. My rides are weather dependent, if I feel it's raining too hard, too cold/miserable/icy/snowy/windy etc then I will cancel, for your safety as well as enjoyment of the ride.
