This is a challenging route to Helmsley, going out via Brandeby, gilling and Oswaldkirk bank, with a short section on some fairly busy roads before descending into Helmsley. The route back is flatter but quieter through Nunnington, Hovingham and Yearsley.
Plenty of coffee shops to choose from although my favourite is closed on a Wednesday!
