Starting point

M25 2GT

Heaton Park St Margaret's Road Manchester M25 2GT

A short, easy pootle along the paths in Heaton Park (approx 3.5 miles-) which should take around 40 minutes. Staring at St Margaret's car park we will ride along the path to the children's playground, down towards the stables then take the left path around the mound passing the Temple. From there we will cycle to the Middleton Road entrance along the tram line. Turning around at the entrance we will follow the tram line back to the lake (possible tea break if required) then back along the path to the stables, up to the play area and then back to car park. There is car parking at St Margaret's entrance, suitable for mountain bikes or hybrid bikes. There are cafes and toilets along the route at the Stables cafe and at the ice cream parlour by the lake.
