We head out through Carpenders Park to pick up the Watford Green Loop at Riverside Park. The Loop takes us clockwise before we branch off at Watford Junction. Quiet roads are used to get through Nascot Wood and we cross the M25 (via a subway!) to reach Coffee&.

After refuelling, our return journey starts with a short stretch of canal towpath. We then carry on to Cassiobury Park to re-join the Green Loop to get back to Riverside. From there, we re-trace our route to Hatch End.

The route has some climbs but nothing too challenging. We'll travel at a modest pace. Access to the canal towpath involves descending a flight of stairs.

Check your bike before the ride paying particular attention to the brakes and tyres. Use this guide: https://lcc.org.uk/advice/bike-safety-check/. Bring a drink, a spare innertube, a pump and tools to fix a puncture.

The time for the ride is a best estimate by the Ride Leader. Sometimes this can be affected by factors such as the weather, mechanical issues, the queue at the cafe, etc. We have a policy of leaving no rider behind so, if anyone is struggling, we will adjust the speed and take rest stops if necessary.
