Hartlepool Sculpture and Spraypaint Ride

Although the ride is 20 miles, we have allowed plenty of time in the ride description so that we have time to enjoy sculptures and murals.

This route cycles south to Hartlepool to visit the Ray Lonsdale sculpture in Ward Jackson Park. We will then pedal to Hartlepool Marina for refreshments. Next we will cycle to Hartlepool Headland to view Durham Spray Paints murals and then finally head back to the start via the coastal route.

Mainly quiet urban roads and some cycle paths, but there will be some busier roads from Hartlepool Marina to Hartlepool Headland.

We will have a break for at Hartlepool Marina. If it’s a nice day and you’d like to bring your own lunch, we can sit outside or alternatively there is the option to go inside one of the many cafes if the weather is not so nice.

Please dress appropriately for the weather, bring drinks and snacks. As always we recommend you wear a helmet and ensure your bike is in good working order before you leave home. Please also bring a spare inner tube that will fit your tyres.
