Harrow to Flourish

This Harrow Cycle Hub 20 mile ride takes us from Harrow Civic Centre to the wonderful Flourish bakery and cafe in Watford.

Although we will use some short sections on busier roads, the majority of the route is on quiet roads or traffic free paths. We head out through Hatch End and Capenders Park. We use the Colney Valley Cycle Route to avoid the traffic in Watford before reaching Flourish via quiet residential roads. The journey back is via the same route.

This ride ideal for those wanting to extend the distance ridden without spending too much time in traffic. It will also suit those with a liking for quality baked goods!

We will go at a pace of 8-10mph and no one gets left behind. Be aware that this route has some climbs and participants should be able to cope with moderate hills.

Please bring a spare innertube, water, a snack (or money to buy one) and something to carry any items you may purchase at Flourish. Check you bike before the ride paying particular attention to the tyres and brakes.

The time for the ride is a best estimate by the Ride Leader. Sometimes this can be affected by factors such as the weather, mechanical issues, the queue at the cafe, etc. We have a policy of leaving no rider behind so, if anyone is struggling, we will adjust the speed and take rest stops if necessary.
