London
HA1 2XY

This ride is for confident cyclists. It involves riding on both quiet and busier roads, off road trails and a canal towpath. Some paths have a rough surface and may be muddy. The route is not suitable for road bikes with skinny tyres. There are a couple of significant hills.

We travel out through Pinner, Eastcote, Ruislip and Ickenham. We then take a trail across Uxbridge Golf Course to enter the Country Park. We have to push our bikes over the canal bridge shown below before following trails to the Riverside Cafe.

The return leg starts by taking the canal towpath to Uxbridge and continues to Swakeleys, Eastcote and North Harrow.

Check your bike before the ride paying particular attention to the tyres and brakes. Bring a spare innertube and tools to fix a puncture.

The time for the ride is a best estimate by the Ride Leader. Sometimes this can be affected by factors such as the weather, mechanical issues, the queue at the cafe, etc. We have a policy of leaving no rider behind so, if anyone is struggling, we will adjust the speed and take rest stops if necessary.
