Happy Birthday Dervla

From the Duke of Wellington pub we will drop down to join the Deerness Valley path, before climbing up to Stanley Crook, returning through Crook and back along the Bishop to Brandon to Scripton Gill, returning via Sunderland Bridge to the the Duke of Wellington where we will enjoy a refreshing drink and sign a birthday card which will then be posted to Dervla.

A ride to celebrate the 90th birthday of our most inspirational woman, Dervla Murphy

Mainly off road, with some short sections of quiet B road

We will be stopping for Dervla related landmarks around the route and will be finishing for refreshments at the Duke of Wellington pub.

Helmets are always advisable, as are warm and waterproof clothing with full finger gloves and buffs for this time of year. We are still mindful of Covid and would ask that you bring a long a spare inner tube, bike pump and tyre levers in case of any problems. We will be observing social distancing and ask that you all bring a mask for the pub.
