****Ride update: the ride has been rerouted to avoid the unpaved section so will be an all road ride****
Breeze is celebrating its 11th Birthday this month so why not come along and join this celebratory ride from Sittingbourne. The route is a 20 mile circular loop starting from King George V Playing Field and goes via Teynham, Doddington, and Bredgar.
Our refreshment stop will be at the lovely Bredgar Farm Shop and Tearooms overlooking the pretty duckpond. As it's a birthday ride cake is compulsory.
The route is mostly on quiet country roads but there will be some cycling on busier roads out of and back into Sittingbourne so there will, inevitably, be some interaction with traffic.
This route is graded as steady which means that there will be some uphill sections. It's a nice route and the hills really aren't too bad. Your reward is an easy downhill section on the last 5 miles and you can always walk up any steep sections.
Please remember to bring:
- cycle helmet (compulsory)
- spare inner tube, pump and tools needed if you don't have quick release wheels
- water bottle(s)
- suitable clothing
- any medications
- change for refreshments
- a contact number for a lift/assistance in case of mechanical breakdown!! (ride leaders are not trained mechanics!)
Please check your bike over before you leave for the ride eg. brakes, tyres, chain, gears etc.
Any questions or for further information please contact Carolyn on 07780 636760
Please note - ride duration times are very approximate - it takes as long as it takes - we do not rush or race.
