Hatch End Station in time to catch the 10.11 train, to arrive at Bushey at 10.17. You can catch the same train from South Kenton at 10.12, Kenton 10.04, Harrow & Wealdstone 10.06, Headstone Lane 10.09 or Carpenders Park 10.14.

This is an easy ride along the Ebury Way, a disused railway line and designated cycle track between Watford and Rickmansworth. The leader will join the train at Hatch End Station but you can also take the train from other stations on the line (check on www.nationalrail.co.uk) or indeed meet us at Bushey Station at 10.20am, if coming from Watford or points north. With an Oyster card the adult fare from Harrow is £1.60 each way. We will help each other carry our bikes up and down station stairs as necessary. Please arrive in good time for your train, and at Bushey station. The Ebury Way is almost flat with a few small ups and downs and is traffic-free. It could be a bit muddy but is generally firm. Our destination is the Watford Cycle Hub in West Watford. There will be children's Halloween activities and a picnic. Costumes and fancy dress would be great but please make sure they are bike friendly (i.e. no tassles or objects that can catch in a bike!). Suggestions for costumes: Elliot from ET (the BMX scene), witches on bike-broomsticks. The Wicked witch of the West, from the beginning scene of the Wizard of Oz. Superhero costumes if you are a lycra lover! A cowboy/cowgirl with a "horse" bike! Pee Wee Herman. Audrey Hepburn. Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music! Please bring an Oyster card. Helmets are compulsory for under-18s. Riders are responsible for any children they bring. The recommended minimum age for this ride is 8. We will return by almost the same route and catch the train back to Harrow. The ride is led by a qualified Breeze ride leader at a gentle pace and we will always ride at the speed of the slowest. Please pump up your tyres and check your bike is roadworthy before you arrive. We have a Facebook page: Breeze Network Harrow. Please ‘like' this page to keep up to date with our rides.
