Halkyn ...Take 2

The route starts at the cycle hub and we are pretty much climbing straight away, up to Buckley on gradual climbs and onto Halkyn area with some steep sharp climbs. You are rewarded with great views over Moel Famau on one side and the Dee estuary the other.
We start to descend under the A55 and can stop at the cafe if we get there in time, (1330hrs ) and then continue our descent to Flint. We can have a short detour to the Castle, then a flattish return to the cycle hub.

Another chance to ride from Deeside to Buckley up to Halkyn then a swift descent to see Flint Castle and back to Deeside

Riding a mixture of cycle paths, busier road and quiet country lanes

There is potential for a coffee stop at Billy Jeans cafe, if we get there before 2pm, or there are numerous viewpoints to enjoy a picnic

Please bring and wear a helmet, spare inner tubes that fit your bike, pump, bike lock, a picnic and cash for cafe.. If you ride an ebike please ensure the battery is sufficiently charged for the length and amount of climbing on the ride

New riders to Breeze are welcome, but please note this is not a beginners ride due to the climbing involved
