Starting point

EX4 3AT

The Bike Shed (round the back) Fore Street Exeter

Join us for a 30 mile challenging hilly route perfect training for summer sportives and triathlons We will leave Exeter and head along the canal path to Countess Wear. We will then join the road and head along the Exminster bypass. We will take the quieter section along Powederham until we reach Starcross. After a short ride along the front by the estuary we turn right and head up the infamous Mamhead Hill. Infamous to local cyclists as the one to do your hill reps on. We will be going up only once before heading over the top of Haldon, past the Belvidere and back to Exeter along the rolling hills via Dunchideock and Ide. This ride is recommended for those who want a friendly training ride with like minded women, to try something a little more challenging, learn a new route or gain confidence on the road. The average speed will be 12-14mph and so road bikes are strongly recommended. Bring plenty to drink and a spare inner tube. Look forward to seeing you there.
