Haigh Hall ride

Why not come along to this leisurely paced cycle along traffic free cycle paths and canal towpaths is approximately 8 miles in total.  This bike ride goes along cycle paths/canal towpaths and whilst it is suitable for hybrids and mountain bikes there are some sections of the canal which if have experienced rain can have a few bumps and puddles along the way. The scenic route takes us to Haigh Hall.  On the way there are a few hill climbs but the rest of ride is downhill.  We’ll have plenty of rest stops and cycle to the slowest rider. Start and finish is near Hockery Brook Pub on Wigan Road. Helmets are advised to be worn during the ride and also wear suitable clothing taking account of the weather. Children are welcome but must wear a helmet or will not be able to ride and must be confident riding on canal tow paths and on the short climb to the hall. As this is an evening ride the cafe may not be open so please bring snacks and drinks for the duration.  A spare inner tube is always advisable as this is easier to change if you have a puncture.
