Let's Ride Through Winter is back for 2022 to help you get off to a flying start with a new cycling challenge, #LetsRideThroughWinter.
https://letsride.co.uk/lets-ride-through-winterThis is a fairly quiet loop from Gunnersbury Park to Richmond Park and back. It is 16 miles/26 km and there is one short climb up Richmond Hill. A steady pace including stops means this ride should take around 3 hours. A good ride for all levels and a great intro ride for adults getting into cycling, but due to distance/pacing it may not be suitable for younger or inexperienced children.
On the way out we head to Brentford and through Syon Park, passing by Syon House towards Isleworth. In Isleworth we join the Thames path to Richmond Bridge. There is then a short climb up Richmond Hill, there is a great view at the top!
We then enter Richmond Park and go round an inner lap exiting at Roehampton Gate and then head towards Barnes Common. Once we get to Vine Road Recreation Ground there will be an opportunity to stop at the café.
From here we head towards Hammersmith and cross back over Hammersmith Bridge. Once back on the north side we will cycle back via the improved cycleways to Gunnersbury Park.
We will begin at the posted time with a short briefing and set off soon after. In fairness to all riders, I regret we may not be able to wait for late arrivals, so please give yourselves enough time to get to the start.
If you have any questions before registering, please feel free to drop me a line via the 'Message Ride Creator' button above. If you develop Covid-19 symptoms, have been told to self-isolate before the ride, or can't make it for any other reason, please cancel your space so someone else can join.
